INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS FOR CHERATING MAINLAND COASTAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
DESCRIPTION
SMHB was appointed by East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) as the Principal Consultant responsible for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and environmental services for this coastal infrastructure development project.
This project initiative aims at developing Cherating as an attractive Mainland Coastal Tourism destination by encouraging development of mid-range to high-end coastal resorts.
The identified areas to be developed are Cherating (217 acres) and Chendor (744 acres) in accordance to a master plan developed by a local architect. ECERDC will develop the first level infrastructure to increase the attractiveness for investors in this tourism initiative.
SMHB and supporting consultants are responsible for detailed design of Infrastructure Works, securing all necessary approvals from relevant authorities and supervising works during construction of the Infrastructure Works.
SMHB coordinates inputs received from Land Surveyor, Landscape Architect, Quantity Surveyor and Road Safety Auditor.
