LANGAT CENTRALISED SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AND SEWER PIPELINE NETWORK
DESCRIPTION
SMHB was appointed as the consultant engineer for all infrastructure and engineering works, building services and mechanical and electrical works, and environmental impact assessment for the Centralised Sewage Treatment Plant (CSTP).
The Langat Sewage Treatment Plant Project was proposed by MMC Pembetungan Langat Sdn. Bhd. to the Government of Malaysia for an alternative and more value-added solution to the contamination of the Langat River basin due to inadequate performance of many small-scale sewage treatment plants in the catchment.
The Client proposed to build one centralised sewage treatment plant that is capable to cater for the capacity of 920,000 population equivalent (PE). The CSTP incorporates advance technologies in its design by utilising step feed two stage nitrogen removal activated sludge process and deep aeration tanks.
SERVICES PROVIDED
Pre-Bid Stage (Functional Specification and Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment), detailed design, planning submission and approval, detailed design and construction supervision for the Centralised Sewage Treatment Plant.
