EIA AND SIA FOR PETALING JAYA DISPERSAL LINK (PJD LINK)
The proposed Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link will be a 12.5 km long expressway mainly elevated, linking the North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) Damansara Interchange to Bukit Jalil Highway at Bandar Kinrara, traversing across urban areas of Bandar Utama and Petaling Jaya.
Due to short time frame available for the Study, the environmental and social impact screening is carried out via desk study and making reference to PEIA for the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway carried out in 2013 since the alignment for the PJL project is generally similar to KIDEX.
The PJL will have eight interchanges (NKVE, Bandar Utama, SPRINT, Jalan Universiti, FHR 2, NPE, KESAS and Bukit Jalil) with two mainline toll plazas.
Findings of the environmental and social impact screening will assist Client in identitying major issues that relate to physical, chemical, biological and human aspects of the environment.
Eventually, a full EIA will be required as stipulated in the First Schedule, Prescribed Activity 20 (a) or (b): Construction of highways or expressways.
